These views taken in 1918 (above) and 1966 (below) show the impressive passenger depot at Findlay. The building probably dates to 1883 when it served as the southern terminus of the Toledo and Indianapolis Railroad. Through the years, the NYC stripped the depot of its gothic towers and modified the doors and windows. Nearby was a separate freight house. Unfortunately, both depots were gone by the 1970s. The other T&OC line out of Toledo was the former Ohio Central, responsible for this small depot at Moline. The operator had a decent pile of coal to feed his pot-belly stove during the winter of 1919. (T&OC photograph, Allen County (Ohio) Historical Society collection.)
